Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai wore a festive look on Thursday with who's who of the film fraternity thronged the theatre for the special premiere of Sivaji.

The much-hyped movie starring Rajnikanth and Shriya opened all across the globe on Friday. Directed by Shankar, the movie has musical score by A R Rahman and cinematography by K V Anand.

On Thursday, the producers A V M Saravanan and M S Guhan organized a special screening for the movie in which who's who of Tamil film industry and prominent VIPs of the city were present.

Amidst thunderous applause and chanting slogans hailing Rajnikanth, the screening commenced.

Yesteryear actress Sridevi, Rajni's daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya, Malayalam actor Dileep and director Priyadharshan among others attracted attention.
