The prestigious cine award of Kerala organized by the magazine ‘Mathruboomi’ was awarded to ‘Subramaniapuram’ under the category of Best Path Breaking Movie.
 
Director Sasikumar and the entire crew of the film were awarded in the grand function held recently which was graced by prominent celebrities of Malyalam filmdom.

‘Subramaniapuram’ has completed 100 days of screening in the state and the screenplay of the film which was released in a book format has become one of the best sellers of recent times.
 
After receiving the award, Sasikumar addressed the audience in Malayalam in the beginning and later thanked them for recognizing talent irrespective of the language.
 
Actors Mohanlal and Mammootty congratulated Sasikumar for his best work in the first venture itself.
