A film runs not for its story but for its script and presentation. Naran scored on that front. Technically too the film won top marks. Shaji’s underwater shots are amazing. You feel wet even watching it on screen. Joshi’s direction was sturdy and bankable. The stunt sequences were also exciting. In the event, it was a good entertainer and that is why people liked it. What is the status of Ram Gopal Verma’s Sholay? It is not going to happen in a hurry. I have talks with Ram Gopal Verma. Things are at a very early stage. The project is certainly on. But not immediately. I am set to do the role of Thakur, immortalized by Sanjeev Kumar in the original. I hope it is a nice experience.  Talk us through your next Malayalam film Tanmatra, directed by Blessy will be it. It has an interesting mix. All the commercial ingredients have been fused within a serious story set around Alzheimer’s disease and also the problems of modern educational system. It will be an interesting venture and will be talked about for long. Century Film Makers are getting back into production after a long time. And that is good news. How about your own productions? I will produce films if I get good scripts and story. But they are in short supply. |
