Decent Parties - For decent entertainment
IndiaGlitz  [Monday, August 31, 2009]

Abraham Lincoln, the PRO turned director had been with quality experiments all through his filmi career as a director. His previous three films like Mazha Peyyumpol, Krishnapakshakilikal and Anamika featured off-track stories, though the later is still to find the lights of the projector. But now Lincoln is experimenting with a thorough commercial fare titled ‘Decent Parties’. Featuring actor Jagadheesh as the protagonist after a long time, ‘Decent Parties’ is planned as a light hearted entertainer with an apt mix of humor and romance.

‘Decent Parties’ will have Jagadheesh as Sudheendran, a photographer by profession. He runs a photo-studio named Padma, named after his mother. Though a man of big aspirations, he had to limit himself to the boundaries of his studio due to various financial reasons and thinks of getting married only after realising his dreams.

Meanwhile, Sudheendran gets a chance as an assistant cameraman in a movie production, with the help of his production executive friend Rafeeque. He tries to prove himself in various departments in filmmaking like scripting.

But soon, Sudheendran gets himself into big trouble as his staff Sasi who is in charge of the photo studio in his absence, mixes a girls photo with that of another stranger for an advertisement. This creates big issues for the girl as her marriage that was fixed earlier was called off. Sudheendran now has to bear of the brunt all the issues and decides to get himself married to this girl named Sreeja whose life is virtually spoiled by his worker's non professional methods.

The marriage of Sudheendran with Sreeja is bound to create further problems for both of them, as Sreeja is much practical minded person while Sudheendran is still amidst his dreams. The film follows how they sort out their differences and ends up in a decent life.

Scripted by Kaloor Dennis in the base story of Suresh Krishna, the movie will feature Meera Vasudev is Sudheendran's wife, Sreeja, and Salim Kumar as Rafeeque, while Jagathy Sreekumar comes up as a moneylender named Porinju. The producer Vincent Mekkunnel (Vincent Abraham) too plays a key role of Pappettan, the President of the Photographers Association in Sudheendran's hometown. Mukesh plays himself in  the movie while others in the cast includes Saikumar, Bijukuttan, Narayanan Kutty, Vjayaraghavan, Machan Varghese, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Meenu Kuriyan, Devichandhana and Murali K Annad. While Prathapan cranks the camera, Vayalar Sharath and Johnson Mangazha handle the music department. P C Mohanan does the editing and Rajesh Kalpathoor is in charge of the art department. ‘Decent Parties’ is scheduled to hit the screens for this Onam.
