After a decade from his debut as a playback singer, Vijay Yesudas is in the effort to prove himself as an actor in the new movie 'Avan' getting ready to grace the theatres. The movie which also features young star Bala in the lead, will be a musical entertainer. Directed by Nandakumar Kavil, Vijay Yesudas plays an established singer who takes part in a reality show in a popular channel. The specialty of the reality show is that it features a number of convicts who are also singers taking part in the competition. Bala will come up as a convict who develops a special relationship with the character played by Vijay Yesudas, which leads into many unexpected twists in the life of both. The movie will feature Muktha Goarge as the heroine. The others in the cast include Anoop Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Riyaz Khan, Kottayam Nazeer and Indrans. The movie will be a musical thriller with seven songs interspersed in the proceedings. The lyrics for these songs are penned by Unnikrishnan Wayanad while Rajamani and Pandit Ramesh Narayanan have set the music. Extensively shot on locations at Colachel, Thakkala and Thiruvananthapuram,the movie will be a July release. | |||
