July 4 - The lucky date will have its say
IndiaGlitz  [Saturday, June 30, 2007]

Indian Film field is largely said to believe in a lot of superstitions. And the belief of actor Dileep about his lucky date - July 4, is also equally famous in the circuit. Dileep in the past few years has been releasing one of his films on the date, of which most were hits. Starting from Ee Parakkum Thalika, Meesa Madhavan, and CID Moosa to the last year's Chess, Dileep has been quite lucky with his lucky date. For 2007, he is planning a film titled after his Lucky date - July 4 - for the release on the said date.

In this flick directed by ace director Joshy, Dileep appears as Gokuldas, the driver of an affluent businessman and the owner of the Priya group of Industries, Viswanathan. Being honest, hard working and responsible, Gokuldas was like a family member for Viswanathan who can be entrusted with any task. Once Viswanathan's eldest daughter Sreepriya, who is studying for M B A at Chennai, happened to land at Coimbatore airport at an off time of the day. It was Gokuldas, then a very honest and straight forward taxi-driver, in the Coimbatore airport who helped her from related difficulties and drove her home safely. And it was for this dedication and faithfulness, he was recruited as their family driver.

Viswanaathan intends to marry her daughter to Suresh, the son of I P S officer Raamachandran. And the day after the engagement, Sreepriya has to attend an exam at Coimbatore.  Being very popular among the family members, Gokuldas was entrusted to take Sreepriya to the college on a July 4. But Sreepriya goes missing on that day. And so does Gokuldas. Viswanaathan with his influence tried to trace them, but with little results what happened to them? You very well, will know about that as July 4 unfolds on July 4.

The film shot in ten different locations in Kerala and Tamilnadu is a colorful entertainer will have all the ingredients that one usually finds in a Joshi film. Scripted by the hit duo Sibi K Thomas-Udhay Krissna, the film has enough of humor, sentiments, suspense, romance and action. For the first time, Dileep is pairing with Roma (enacting Sripriya), who shot to fame with Notebook. Shaji is the cinematographer of this typical Dileep film which has four beautiful songs set to music by Ouseppachan in the lyrics of Shibu Chakrabarthy.

The film which has just completed its dubbing, in all probabilities will hit the theatres this weekend on July 4.
