 Suresh Gopi, after a long time is trying a different role in Kichamani MBA, a fun filled thriller, scripted by debutant Ashana Aash. The superstar who is famous for the daredevil roles who flexes his muscles and takes on the villains with fiery dialogues and action thrills will be seen in the lighter vein playing Kichamani, an automobile dealer who uses money and influence to remove hurdles in his path.
Samad Mangada, the producer of many films like Madhuchandralekha and Aanachantham turns director through this film. The shooting of the film is fast progressing in Kochi.
Suresh Gopi dons the role of Kichamani; a smooth talking wheeler-dealer specialized in bribing officials and works as a corruption agent. He has his parallel mechanisms for bribing working in every government offices and with the passes issued by Kichamani, any one can get any deed done from the official machinery.
Kichamani believes that experience is the best education and the MBA attached to his name is not the short form for the degree, but it stands for Member of Bachelor Association. Kichamani is presented in an entirely different dimension. He uses his connections to get things moving. Contracts, real estate deals or sanctions for new bus routes... nothing is impossible for Kichamani owing to his network of 'connections.' This is a satire on the sorry state of affairs in our society where corruption is often accepted as a necessary evil and even as a part of the system," explains the director
The film has a number of humorous takes. The cast includes Jayasoorya, Priyanka, Biju Menon, Rizabava, Cochin Haneef, Anil Murali, Aby, Indrans, Bindu Panikar, RajanP dev and Augustine. Navya Nair plays Shivani Menon,a documentary filmmaker, who is after Kichamani's establishments in the film. Priyanka who shot to fame with ‘Veyil' debuts in Malayalam playing the second heroine in the film.
"Variety in roles is important. It gives me tremendous satisfaction as an actor", Suresh Gopi commends about Kichamani. "I has been doing characters like this recently that differ a lot in style, nature and mannerisms". Ashana Aash makes her debut as the script writer and Saji Damodar writes the dialogues. Cinematographer P Sukumar wields the camera. Two Songs have been penned by lyricist Kanesh Poonooru, set to music composed by Alex Paul.
'Kichamani MBA' is being produced by Salim under the banner Hill Top Productions and will reach theatres on August 25 for Onam.
