Om Shanti Oshana - Is entertaining

Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim and director Jude Anthany Joseph hits a big time with their latest 'Om Shanthi Osana',- a movie peppered with fine moments finely sprinkled with laughter. An engaging drama, the movie has the heroine narrating her love story.

Nazriya Nazim is Pooja, a tomboy who has decided that she will only agree for a love marriage, inspired by the tales of her aunt. The lonely daughter of a rich couple, Pooja is trying to place the boys she know in her love frame but falls for Giri (Nivin Pauly) who is coming from a meek background. What follows is the tale how the girl persist  steadfastly in her love until she finds the reward.

Packaged brilliantly in the patterns of modern day romantic comedy's, the movie keeps you focused in the proceedings with its fine use of humorous one liners and not so predictable  moves.  The movie appear quite honest for its script lines and uses multitude of clichéd dialogues with twist in between, that works too good in the film. The credits must go to the debutante scriptwriter Midhun Manuel Thomas , who has done some exceptional writing to give every sequences a different look. Though the 'time periods' fails to register at some sequences, the debutante director has also worked well to give the chick look for the movie.

Nivin Pauly, has the best two weekends in his career back to back , this time coming up successfully as a chocolate, but practical, clearheaded hero with a heart of gold. But Nazriya Nazim makes the best of the opportunity of the character offered. She appears not so tomboyish in the initial scenes with her graceful looks in the opening sequences but  the outspoken character of a spoilt-rich -kid  is safe in her hands.

Renji Panicker, and Vineeth Sreenivasan play to their roles of Pooja's father, and the  young medical college lecture . Aju Varghese and Niki Gilrani excel in their roles of David Kanjani and Thennal. The music and BG by Gopi Sundar is fine and fit perfectly for a youthful  film, so is the other technical aspects of the movie..

All in all, this is a perfect entertainer for the youth and family with plenty of sequences that will grab your attention. Grab your pop corns and have a delightful watch

Rating - 6.75/10
