Mansoor loves to surprise and scare others (in a harmless way, though). The actor, who has of late been attempting character and comic roles deviating from his forte of essaying villain roles, has launched yet another film in which he would invariably play the lead role.
In the past, Mansoor had always unfailingly done the unthinkable things like letting a cat purposely pass through the shooting schedule, performing the 'pooja' of his films during the inauspicious 'rahu kalam' and things like that. He made a film with the longest title (in the history of films?) named Rajathi Raja...and then made a political satire in Vaazhga Jananayagambut unfortunately, both the films bombed at the box-office.
He has now launched Athiradi which is about the life of a commoner who survives by performing aerobics on road. Mansoor has penned the story, screenplay, dialogues and directed the film besides composing the music as well. He has left only the camera work to be handled by K. Muthukumar. He plans to wrap up the film in a single schedule.
The film was launched on 05th January and is likely to hit the screens on April 14th.
