Music Composer Deva considered as the Godfather of ghaana songs was a much sought after Music Director as well as singer in the 90's. He has composed and sung many ghaana songs for today's stars Ajith and Vijay which have played a part in elevating the stardom of these two actors.

Now fans will get to hear the voice of the  composer known for his modesty in 2014 since he has crooned a ghaana song in the film Maan Karatte, which marks the pairing up of Hansika and Sivakarthikeyan, the two happening young talents of Kollywood.

Anirudh another young talent who is the composer of Maan Karatte has spoken about the idea of getting Deva sir, his senior in composing to sing a song composed by him.

"We were looking for a different voice for the climax song of the film, and remembered Deva sir. His voice has been used for many superhit songs in the 90s and I thought it'd be refreshing to hear it again. He immediately agreed, and we (Deva and I) recorded the number recently." Saying the composer who rose to instant stardom with the 'Kolaveri' song assured that the song sung by Deva will will be a ghaana song with a difference.

It is not new for Deva to sing the songs composed by others. He has crooned a song composed by the duo Hariharan and Leslie Lewis in Modhi Vilayadu the film directed by Charan starring Vinay and Kajal Aggarwal.
