Vemal-Rajkiran starrer 'Manja Pye' is nearing completion; the romantic entertainer has already recorded all its talkie portions on tape, and the team is to can just one song for the film. It was earlier reported that Ghibran has been replaced by NR Ragunanthan for this project, and here's why. Director Raghavan explains that this change is owed to Ghibran's tight schedule. "We were hard pressed for time, and so was Ghibran. The composer hence opted out of the film, and we roped in Ragunanthan of 'Neerparavai' fame. The composer has already given us some interesting numbers. The film will have five songs in all, and we are left with shooting only for one more, which will go on the floors next month" says Raghavan.
Meanwhile on the sets, Vemal and Rajkiran have bonded so well that the two will always be remembered as peran-thatha (grandson-grandfather) by the crew. 'Manja Pye', though a romantic flick, is strengthened more by the relationship shared by an old man with his grandson, than the latter's love affair, as is heard from the team.
