There's no doubting the talents of actor Mammooty and actress Nandita Das. When they come together in a movie, the audience can expect  quality stuff with extraordinary on-screen performance. The duo are paired together for a Tamil venture Vishwa Thulasi, which is being produced, written and directed by Sumathy Ram, a Tamil settled abroad. Mammooty's last Tamil film was Junior Senior, while Nandita Das after Azhagi takes up the lead in Vishwa Thulasi.

Good news for music-lovers too. Noted music composers Illayaraja and M S Viswanathan join hands to score tunes for the film. They are teaming up after almost about a dozen years.

The movie is about a middle-aged couple - Mamooty and Nandita, who come across each other and fall in love. They look back at their youthful days, before marrying.

Also in the cast are Manivannan, Delhi Ganesh, Vaiyapuri, Manoj K Jayan, Vaiyapuri and Illavarasu. A major portion of the movie was shot in areas adjoining Cuddalore, Pollachi and Tharangampadi.

B Kannan has cranked the camera, while Suresh Urs takes care of the editing. Lyrics for the songs are being penned by Illayaraja and Sumathy Ram. The movie would be released in September.
