Tamil is much more than merely a language - it is pride, honour and recognition. Certified and recognized by the Norway government, for the past four years, Tamil films have been screened and competing against one another at the Norway International Film Festival. NIFF includes feature films, short films, music videos and the likes too. From a 100 movies mark every year, Kollywood has reported to have progressed to 150 movies last year alone. And this year, the first fifteen films for special screening at the festival, which will be the contestants for the prestigious competition, have been announced.
This list has 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal', 'Haridas', 'Thanga Meengal', 'Onayum Aadukkutiyum', 'Aathalal Kadhal Seiveer', 'Raja Rani', 'Paradesi' and 'Vidiyum Munn' from K-town competing against one another and also against 'A Gun & A Ring' from Canada and 'Paranoid Patient' from Denmark.
