Cheran refutes rumors linking him to a political party

IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, February 25, 2014]

Last week director cum actor Cheran, issued two press statements, profusely appreciating Ms.J.Jayalalitha, the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. This led to speculation that the Autograph actor is going to join AIADMK, the political party headed by Ms.Jayalalitha.

Cheran has refuted these speculations as mere rumors and he does not have any intention to join politics. "It's a duty of those claiming to be neutral to appreciate any activity of the government that benefits the people. Our CM has wiped off the bad image on Tamilans across the world by ordering for the release of 7 people who have been convicted for Rajiv Gandhi's murder and her move to introduce Amma Theaters, will benefit the audience by offering movie watching experience at an affordable price and also give a platform for small budget film producers to screen their films"  Cheran said about his appreciation letters.

Cheran has accused that some Dons are exploiting the Tamil film industry today and those who really wish to make good films have come to the streets. It's unknownas to whom the director refers to with such a harsh comment
