A few months ago there was an official press statement from the makers of Superstar Rajnikanth's magnum opus film Kochadiiyaan, that the film will hit the screens on April 11 as a Tamil New Year treat.

But last week, the film's director Soundharya Ashwin Rajnikanth, while speaking in a promotional event told that the release date of the film has not been confirmed yet. This news certainly disappointed the fans though the debutante director had the all new Motion capture technology as a valid explanation for delay. But she also assured that the team is however trying their best to keep on with the release date promised.

Yesterday the audio and trailer of Kochadiiyan took place in Chennai and a press meet followed. In the press meet, the film's Producer told Kochadiiyaan is made at a whopping 125 crores as budget and it took two years to complete the film.

The producer also confirmed that the film will be sent for censor certification by next week and the fans can get to watch their Superstar on silver screen from the second week of April if all things go as planned.
