Today is the 34th birthday of Madhan Karky, who is the most sought after lyricist in Tamil cinema. He is well known for his ability to fix the ancient Tamil words in the modern context and also for his proficiency in other languages like English and using them in Tamil song in apt places.

Madhan Karky blows another candle today

Karky is the elder son of ace lyricist Vairamuthu. But he has carved a niche for himself by penning many chartbuster songs with meaningful lyrics and is today a tough competitor for his father who is still ruling the industry.  He wrote his first song 'Ododi Poren' for the film Kanden Kadhalai directed by R.Kannan under the music of Vidyasagar.  He shot to fame by penning lyrics for Enthiran, a sci-fi entertainer directed by Shankar with Superstar Rajnikanth playing the lead role. He is also the co-dialogue writer for the film. He again worked with Shankar in the Vijay starred film Nanban and wrote the famous 'Aska Laska' which expressed love in many languages. He also penned three songs in the film Kadal directed by Mani Ratnam who had until then been opting for Vairamuthu to pen the lyrics for all the songs in his films.

Madhan Karky is also known as a tech savvy lyricist. He has designed a software which will suggest apt Tamil words whena particular situation for a song is fed in it.

Indiaglitz wishes the young lyricist a very happy birthday and long lasting success.
