Drishyam a Malayalam thriller film directed by Jeetu Joseph has completed a successful 100 day run today. It is a phenomenal achievement given the fact that even films that are declared as super hits manage to stay in the screens only for a few weeks. The film is currently running in many screens in Kerala and also in a few screens in other states of South India.
The film starring Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles as parents of two teenage girls has proved to be the highest grosser in Malayalam film history apart from garnering enormous positive reviews all over the country.
Now Drishyam is being remade in all the three other South Indian languages. While the Telugu and Kannada remakes with Venkatesh and Ravichandran in the lead roles are progressing rapidly the Tamil remake of the film is expected to commence in June with 'Ulaga Nayagan' Kamal Haasan replacing Mohanlal.
