There have been many biopic films in Indian film industry. Mostly they speak about the life of National leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. Barathiyar. Bhagat Singh and also social reformists like Periyaar and politicians like former Tamilnadu Chief Minister Kamaraj Mani Ratnam's Iruvar was based on the life of actor turned politician M.G.Ramachandran and politician M.Karunanidhi which was however refuted by the director.
Now a film on our Superstar Rajnikanth's life is going to be made in Hindi and Tamil. The film will be produced by Varsha Productions and Faisalby will be directing the flick in both the languages. The Tamil version has been titled as Naney Rajini and in Hindi it is Mey ho Rajinikanth.
Actor Adithya Menon who has acted in supporting roles in film like Arindum Ariyamalum, Billa Villu, and Singam will don Rajnikanth in both the versions. Kavitha, Rajeshyam and Maan Ramco form part of the supporting cast.
The film will explain the journey of Rajnikanth from a bus conductor to the status of a superstar in cinema. The film will also focus on the spiritual side of the actor and details about his visits to Himalayas will also expected to be discussed in the film.
