IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 31, 2014]

Ace comedian Vadivelu's comeback venture Jegajala Pujabalaa Thenali Raman has been censored with a clean U and the film is all set to hit the screens on April 14. However the film directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan has already started facing controversy. Few months ago a less known Telugu faction had issued warnings that the film supposedly portrays King Krishnadevarayar in poor light and hence the film has to be banned. It was reported that a few members of that group had issued a letter to Censor Board to abstain from certifying the movie.

Vadivelu is not Krishnadevarayar

Vadivelu acts in dual roles in the film and it was understood that he plays the roles of Thenali Raman and his king Krishnadevarayar. In his interview to a leading National newspaper, Yuvraja Dhayalan has clarified that Vadivelu has not acted as Krishnadevarayar In his film. He also added that his film is not based on any real incidents and it will be a summation of a few moral stories we have heard about Thenali Raman.

In the wake of allegations that the film portrays Thenali Raman in poor light, Yuvaraj has rubbished them as rumors stating that his film does not include any scene or dialogue that will degrade the famous jester.

The young director, who debuted with the film Pota Potti, has affirmed that he is ready to screen the film to the protestors to prove his claims.
