Samantha's stand on politics

Young actress Samantha is busy with a plenty of projects in both Tamil and Telugu. However in the wake of the imminent Loksabha Elections, rumours spread regarding her entry into politics.


It was said that the Neethane En Ponvasantham actress was approached by people close to Y.S.R.Jegan Mohan Reddy, the son of late Andhra Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy and the founder of YSR Congress to campaign for the party in the upcoming elections. They also allegedly offered an M.P ticket to Samantha's father to contest in the elections. This lead to speculations that Samantha will start campaigning for the YSR Congress party in he forthcoming elections.

However Samantha has denied any political affiliations in he Twitter page. The actress has tweeted "Contrary to very presumptuous popular belief I am not campaigning for any political party. No future intentions either. Thankyou".

On the professional front Samantha completed her schedule for Kaththi with Vijay and immediately moved on to the sets of the untitled Telugu film directed by V.V.Vinayak.
