Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj to compete again

Acclaimed young directors Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj have competed against each other in the famous short film competition aired in a private channel. Undoubtedly their successes in that competition lead them to Tamil film industry after being noticed by tinsel town celebrities. Now there is a possibility of the two young directors competing head to head in silver screen as their respective second films are expected to hit the screens on the same day.
 
It is being reported that Balaji Mohan's Vaayai Moodi Pesavum starring Dulquer Salman and Nazriya Nazim in lead roles will hit the screens on April 25. The distribution rights of the film produced by Y Not Studios have been lapped up by Red Giant Films Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj to compete again

Jigarthanda is the second film directed by Karthik Subbaraj with Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon playing the lead roles. The film touted as musical gangster flick has been produced by Five Star Kathiresan. This film has been completed and the team is scouting for a perfect release date. With Kochadiiyaan expected to release on May 1, Jigarthanda team is planning to release the film on April 25 which will mark the beginning of the last weekend before the release of Kochadiiyaan. 

We will have to wait for an official confirmation on the release date from both the teams to see whether Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj will compete directly by releasing their films on April 25.
