Ever since he turned a producer, Vishal makes it a point that he has a preset release date in mind before starting any project. He also announces it so that the hard work will be higher to keep up the promise.
Vishal's maiden production venture Pandiyanadu was announced as a Deepavali 2013 release and the film released on the occasion rubbishing assumptions that the film will back out for Ajith's Arrambam and Karthi's Azhaguraja released on the same occasion. Vishal released his maiden production venture on the promised date and the content neatly packaged by director Suseenthiran proved his decision right by making the film a super hit of the season.
Vishal's second production venture Naan Sigappu Manidhan was launched in January and the first ad of the film appeared with its release date. It was promised that the film will release on Tamil New year and Vishal kept his word for the second time by releasing the film on April 11, three days ahead of the Tamil New Year day. The team headed by director Thiru employed tremendous hard work to complete the film in a span of 60 days. NSM is receiving positive reviews from all corners and marching towards success, thereby elevating the star status of the tall actor.
Now Vishal has completed the photo shoot of his third production venture 'Poojai' directed by Hari. In a recent interview the actor-producer has confirmed that the film will go on floors on April 18 and it will hit the screens on Deepavali 2014.
Poojai stars Shruthi Haasan as the lead heroine opposite Vishal and a bevy of senior actors including Sathyaraj, Radhika and Kousalya are included in the supporting cast. Yuvan Shanakr Raja scores the music for the film.
