Re-recordist Yuvaraj D who has won the national award for the Malayalam film Swaapanam will be leaving to New Delhi soon to receive the award from Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on May 3. The Re-recordist who works in one of the leading studios in Chennai, says he dedicates the award to his deceased father who is the reason for his entering this profession.
Yuvaraj in an interview has revealed that his father was working as a production assistant for 40 years in one of Tamilnadu's leading studios. Yuvaraj who had visited the studio to give lunch to his father accidentally entered the recording room and was fascinated by that. When he quit education owing to poverty he wanted his father to get him a job in the recording department of the production house he was working in. His father tested whether his son was ready to work hard and helped him get the job. After working in the recording field for almost 30 years Yuvaraj has won a National award.
