For the past couple of days, Media is abuzz about Jyothika, one of the most celebrated heroines of the past decade making a comeback with a film to be directed by Pandiraj. It was also widely reported that Pandiraj had narrated a script to Jyothika and the actress has given her nod for the project.

Director Pandiraj has rejected these claims as rumors. The director who debuted with 'Pasanga' a National award winning film said that he has not even met Jyothika and was surprised to note these rumors spreading in social networking sites.

Sources close to Jyothika have also clarified that Jyothika has not committed to any film. One source said that the wife of actor Suriya is currently in USA. She was in fact approached to act in a film but the mother of two kids rejected the offer.

However Pandiraj has stated that after seeing the interest and enthusiasm of people, regarding Jyothika's comeback in a film directed by him, he has started thinking of meeting the 'Chandramukhi' actress and narrating his script to her.

Jyothika debuted in Tamil with Ajith starrer 'Valee' and went on to star in many films with Ajith, Vijay, Suriya, Vikram and Kamal Haasan. She also acted in the titular role in 'Chandramukhi' that had Rajinikanth playing the male lead role. That was one of the biggest blockbusters in Tamil cinema. She retired from acting post her marriage with co-actor turned lover Suriya in 2006.
