Actor Sathish whose comic one-liners raised huge guffaws in 'Ethirneechal' and 'Maan Karate' is gradually raising as a bankable comedian in Tamil films. He will be seen sharing screen space with 'Ilayathalabathy' Vijay in 'Kaththi 'directed by A.R.Murugadoss.
Sathish has revealed how he made his entry into the film industry in a recent interview. Sathish had started his acting stint as a member of the Theater group run by veteran Theater personality and film dialogue writer Crazy Mohan. When director Vijay requested Mohan to write dialogues for his second film 'Poi Solla Poram' the remake of Bollywood film 'Khosla Ka Khosla' the veteran writer was very busy with other commitments and recommended Sathish's name for the job since he had identified the latter's wittiness and comic sense. Sathish's name was credited as the co-dialogue writer for 'Poi Solla Porom'.
Later on it was Vijay who identified Sathish's acting prowess and offered him the role of a dumb friend of Arya in the super hit romantic period flick 'Madarasapattinam' With such a valuable launchpad, Sathish got the offer to star in 'Marina' and 'Ethirneechal' with Sivakarthikeyan and acquired a strong foot hold as an actor in the industry.
Sathish has also revealed that he has earlier shared screen space with Sivakarthikeyan in a short film 'Mugaputhagam' that was shot before Sivakarthikeyan acted in his first feature film. Interestingly that short film was directed by Atlee who debuted in Kollywood with the super hit feature film 'Raja Rani' that released in 2013.
