The morning of May 22 was a dreadful one for Nasser's family. The car in which Nasser's elder son Faizal was travelling met with a brutal accident killing three people on board. Faizal and one more person struggling for life with severe injuries were admitted to a nearby private hospital while three others died on the spot.

The film fraternity and the fans started wishing and conveying their prayers for the speedy recovery of Nasser's son. At the same time media reports suggesting that Faizal who was sitting on the front side was not wearing seat belt and that's why the effect of the accident took him to the critical stage. Few other reports suggested that one among the three casualties of the accident was a close relative of Nasser's family.

Nasser's wife Kameela has rejected these two claims as mere rumours. While her son is still in intensive care unit, Kameela evinces hope that her son will recover soon. She has said that her son was indeed wearing the seat belt when the car met with the accident and one can spot the mark of the seat belt at his neck even now. She added that none of the three who lost their life due to the accident was her relative.

Kameela thanked the film industry celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Sarath Kumar, Director Vijay and many others who called them and also visited the hospital in person to enquire the wellness of Faizal. She also conveyed everyone who prayed for her son's recovery.
