During the Lok Sabha Election campaign the present Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi visited Superstar Rajinikanth at his home. This made a flutter in cinema and political circles but the meeting was downplayed as apolitical. Though the Superstar was invited to the swearing ceremony of Modi as the PM, he did not make it to the event.
Yesterday Rajini met an important political leader from Tamilnadu and surprised everyone including the press. Rajini made a sudden visit to the Gopalapuram residence of M.Karunanidhi, the former Cheif Minister of Tamilnadu and the chief of the DMK party.
This meeting too is purely apolitical and Rajini had come to convey his belated birthday wishes for Karunanidhi who turned 91 on June 3. Rajini had also requested the nonagenarian, the script and dialogue writer of many super hit Tamil films of the black and white era, to watch his latest film 'Kochadiiyaan' directed by Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth.
