As we all know maestro Ilaiyaraja is scoring music for director R.Balki's upcoming Bollywood flick 'Shamitabh' that has the super star Amitabh  Bachchan playing the lead role. National award winning Tamil actor Dhanush plays a crucial role and veteran actor Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan is making her on screen debut with this film.

The latest buzz about the film is that, Amitabh who has proved his mettle as a play back singer in quite a few numbers he has sung in the past, will be crooning a number composed by the maestro for the 'Shamitabh'. Amitabh has already sung a song under Raja's music in Balki's earlier films 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa' in which the former acted in the lead role.

The legendary actor of Bollywood has confirmed this in his micro blogging page. "Oh and yes, another session with Adesh (Shrivatsava) at his music studio last night did result in another song that I had to sing for 'Shamitabh'. The finest quality of music from the genius of Ilaiyaraja, he magician from Chennai."

The shoot of 'Shamitabh' is more than 50% complete and this is certainly one of the most aniticipated Bollywood flicks of the year. 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa' the films that had the Balki-Amitabh-Ilaiyaraja trio working together have been critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
