Rama Narayanan passes away

Veteran director cum producer Ramanarayanan has passed away in Singapore where he was being treated for a kidney related ailment in a private hospital. He was 65 and survived by a son and two daughters. The deceased director’s wife Ms.Radha had passed away a few years ago.
Rama Narayanan has directed 125 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada. Marathi and Oriya. He holds the record for directing most number of films. His popular film include 'Kanne Radha', 'Soorakottai Singakutty', 'Veeran' and 'Sahadevan Mahadevan'. His last film as a director was ‘Arya Suriya’ that released last year.  He is especially known for devotional films and the usage of animals in central characters in most of his films.

The veteran has also produced and distributed many super hit direct Tamil films and dubbed versions of other language films under his ‘Thenandal Films’ banner. He has also functioned as the president of Tamil Film Producers Council for three consecutive terms.  
Rama Narayanan’s holy corpse is expected to reach his residence in Saraswathy Street Mahalingapuram Chennai on Tuesday(24.06.2014), The funeral is scheduled to take place in Kannamapettai crematorium, T.Nagar at 2 PM tomorrow (24.6.2014).
