‘Ilayathalabathi’ Vijay’s 40th birthday was celebrated with a lot of frenzy yesterday (June 22, 2014). Since it was on Sunday, large number of fans could take part in the celebrations that also included a host of welfare activities, like blood donation camps, donating financial aid for education and wedding of children and youngsters from economically poor families and many others.

The celebrations were not limited to fans. Many private television channels organized Vijay birthday special programmes and Vijay starrer super hits were telecast throughout the day in various channels.Vijay's Thanks message to his fans

The actor spent his birthday in Hyderabad in the shooting spot of ‘Kaththi’, his upcoming film that is being directed by A.R.Murugadoss. The highly anticipated first look poster of ‘Kaththi’ was released yesterday n account of the star’s birthday and it has delighted the fans and movie buffs.

Vijay has sent a Birthday message to his fan in which he has said,

“Thanks to all my fans, friends from the industry, press and media for the birthday wishes. Heard there was a lot of welfare activities that happened for my birthday. I'm honoured. :) And I've been receiving full on positive comments for #KATHTHI first look motion poster. Thank you so much!”.
