Karthi is an IT employee

IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, June 24, 2014]

Nothing much about the plot or the role played by the lead actor Karthi in director Pa.Ranjith’s ‘Madras’ has been revealed until now. Karthi took the first step during the audio launch event that happened yesterday in Chennai. The actor revealed that he plays an IT employee from Vyasarpadi, in the film. He added that he has acted as a person who adapts himself to the high class life style in his professional life but keeps moving around as a local boy in his locality.

Most of the Tamil films with North Chennai as landscape have portrayed that part of the Metro city as the breeding ground for rowdyism and all kinds of illegal activities. A very few exceptions like ‘Polladhavan’ have portrayed North Chennai as place surrounded my many middle class and lower middle class family who aspire to lead a comfortable and peaceful life. Hope ‘Madras’ fills the long brings the long awaited change of mindset about North Chennai.

Pretty actress Katherine Theresa makes her kollywood debut with ‘Madras’. The film has musical score by Santhosh Narayanan and the music album has attracted the music lovers.

I was skeptical about my suitability for Madras Karthi
