The music album of 'Amara Kaaviyam' was released in a grand star studded event in Sathyam Cinemas, this morning. The music for the film has been scored by Ghibran, who is one of the busiest music directors in Kollywood, The audio was released by Nayanthara and received by Trisha in the gracious presence of National award winning director Bala.
Heroines Pooja, Rupa Manjari and Lekha Washington were the other hoties wh graced the event. A host of directors including Vishnuvardhan, Lingusamy, Rajesh, Pushkar-Gayathrie S.P.Jananathan, Suseenthiran, Parthiepan, Magizh Thirumeni and many others attended the event. Producers UTV Dhananjayan, actors Udhayanidhi Stalin Vishnu Vishal, Srikanth, Vikranth, 'Jithan' Ramesh,John Vijay also added glitter to the function.
The film is the maiden production venture of Arya and stars his younger brother Sathya and Mia in lead roles. Jeeva Shankar of 'Naan' fame is the director of this period flick set in 1988.
It was revealed in the audio launch that the film has been predominantly shot in OOty while a small portion has been shot in Coimbatore. The film is based on a true incident that director had come across in Thanjavur.
The hero of the film Sathya has done a few films in Tamil and a few others are yet to release. The lead heroine Mia has done six films in Malayalam including ‘Mr.Fraud’ with Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal.
The music album includes five songs. Two songs, ‘Deva Devadhai’ and ‘’Mounam Pesum’ both written by the film’s co-director Vetriselvan were performed live by singer Sowmya who has sung them in the film. Today’s leading lyricist Madhan Karky has written a song and this is the first time he is working with Ghibran. Parvathi has written another song.
Two other songs ‘Saridhana Saridhana’ and ‘Edhedho Ennam’ were screened for the audience. Also the trailer was unveiled and it received thunderous applause. Arya played the perfect host of the event. He said thanked everyone for making it to the function and revealed that he called all of them only by phone.
The place Arya has earned in the hearts of top celebrities of the film industry was clearly evident not only the list of guests which included those who are rarely seen in public functions but also the way everyone spoke about him. Almost all the celebrities who spoke at the event used this as an opportunity to shower their praise, gratitude and affection whatsoever for the person fondly referred to as ‘Jammy’ by everyone.
Also all those who spoke appreciated the trailer and some even said that it gives hopes of being another ‘Moondram Pirai’. Many acknowledged music director Ghibran’s previous works and a few claimed them as his fans from ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ days.
The film’s director and cinematographer Jeeva Shankar gave an informal vote of thanks and also attributed his success in film industry to his mentor, late cinematographer cum director Jeeva.
