James Vasanthan rose to fame with his stupendous album 'Subramaniyapuram' and the song 'Kangal Irandaal' is still so fresh and memorable. The TV anchor turned Music composer is directing a flick 'Vaanavil Vaazhkkai' which is on the shades of Hollywood classic 'High School Musical'.
Adding to it, James has vouched his displeasure about the movies which released under the genre 'Musical' in the past in Tamil movies. He has composed and penned 19 songs for his debut directorial attempt. He gave a short note about the story line of 'Vaanavil Vaazhkkai' where no one would be carrying the tag as Hero/Heroine and the events which happen across the universities/college will be the limelight of story.
Various genres have been tried in these 19 songs, such as, Hindustani, Ghazal, Pop, Jazz, and Carnatic. He says, he's been working on the script/songs for more than one year and this movie would be a new experience for Tamil audience.
