Veteran actress Manorama, who has been keeping ill for long has been dragged to court thanks to an internal family dispute.
Manorama’s granddaughter P. Abirami (25), the daughter of Manorama’s son Boopathy who has also acted in a few films has filed a case in a city civil court on her own brother Doctor Rajarajan for attempting to swindle the properties inherited from the octogenarian actress. A City Civil Court has admitted Abirabi’s petition and has issued notice to Manorama and her son Boopathy asking them to file reply.
Manorama has property in Chennai and Thirvallur. In her petition Abirami has alleged that Manorama is facing health and ageing issues and she is unconscious of what is happening around her. Boopathy has become a liquor addict and is always inebriated state. Exploiting this situation Rajarajan has viciously planned and has transferred all the properties in his name, thereby denying the legitimate share of Abirami.
She has also alleged that Rajarajan is trying to sell the land in a hush-hush manner and she has come to know that certain land brokers have visited the places to sell them to prospective buyers.
The fifth bench of the Civil Court, headed by the Justice Lakshmikanthan, admitted the petition and issued notices to Manorama, Boopathy, and also Dhanalakshmi who is Boopathy’s wife and Abirami’s mother.
