Swathi doesn't want to lose acting

IndiaGlitz [Monday, August 18, 2014]

Introduced to cinema in 'Subramaniyapuram', Swathi has been busy lately signing up film in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She recently signed up for Vishnuvardhan's 'Yatchan' and 'Amali Thumali' starring Nakul and Shanthanoo Bhagyaraj.

She said that she didn't have to think twice about 'Yatchan' as it was a Vishnuvardhan film starring his brother Kreshna. “If you have a good feeling about a team and sense that they are serious about conveying a story, you just sign up. This is what I have done with 'Yatchan' and the same with Subramaniapuram” she said.

Swathi also gives her opinion on the three languages industry and how they treat cinema. “Telugu films are about entertainment, Malayalam films about the story, and Tamil films a healthy mix of both,” said Swathi. Also, when asked about her dubbing in Telugu for an Illeana D'Cruz film, she said, "The dubbing work was a one-off request, and I made it clear that I wasn’t ready to be stereotyped as a dubbing artiste and lose opportunities to act.”

Anjaan to be cut off
