There could not have been a better weekend for Tamil filmdom.

The three big releases of the week --- Mumbai Xpress, Chandramukhi and Sachein ---- have had tremendous openings. In fact, this is the biggest opening collection ever in the  history of Tamil filmdom, says one trade analyst.

Officially itself tickets, especially for Chandramukhi, were going over Rs.200 while in the black market it was well over Rs.500.

The situation is expected to taper once the euphoria wanes. As of now, according to trade pundits, both Chandramukhi and Mumbai Xpress look to be winners. Both carry very good reports and the fans are pleased, they say.

In the clash of the titans, there has been no loser.
