Director Praveen Kanth, who directed a couple of films, Star and Jodi starring Prashanth decided to try his luck on screen and played the hero in the Thullal. 

Besides playing the hero in Thullal, Praveen Kanth produced and directed the same. Unfortunately, the movie faced several hiccups in the production stage itself and could not be completed as scheduled.

Unfortunately even after completion now, Thullal cannot be released as Praveen Kanth is not able to find any buyer for the movie. However all these troubles have not dampened him. He has gone ahead to begin his next venture titled Muktha.

Yet again he would be playing the hero besides producing and directing the movie. Guess who plays his heroine? Again the Mumbai girl Gurlin Chopra, who acted with him in Thullal.

Perseverance or plain foolhardy? We don't know.
