Posthumous revival
IndiaGlitz [Friday, June 24, 2005]

Pity the producer G Venkateswaran (GV) is not around to see this.

One of the last films of GV, Tamizhan is now being dubbed in Hindi.

The film stars Vijay and Priyanka Chopra and is being titled Jeet- Born to Win.

The film is being dubbed just capitalize on the new-found market for Priyanka in Hindi.

Ironically, Tamizhan was a flop and one of the reasons alluded for that was Priyanka.

GV had reportedly paid Rs.50 lakh to her and was a huge amount in 2003.

GV's career faded after that. But now, paradoxically, it is being revived posthumously.
