This is a season for cop games, it seems.

Almost every other actress in Kollywood has been knocking at the doors of the police for some reason or the other.

This time around it is Seetha, a one-time heroine and ex-wife of actor-director Parthiban who has filed a complaint against debutant director Kala Pudhiyavan of verbally abusing her on the phone.

Seetha is acting in his movie Kadhal Valarthen that also stars actors Manoj and Kunal. In her complaint with Virugambakkam police, Seetha had alleged that the director had called her up late night and used abusive language at her.

However, the director countered her charges alleging that Seetha had urged him to cast Sathish, a small screen actor (with whom Seetha was reportedly having an affair) in his movie. "When I declined to do so, Seetha came up with these allegations," he said.

When inquired, Seetha denied reports of seeking a chance for Sathish and dismissed all charges by Kala Pudhiyavan as baseless.

Nevertheless, with Nadigar Sangam president Vijayakanth intervening, the issue was quickly sorted out.

Anyway, the plot has thickened again.
