Vindhya is now playing the heroine in Azhagu Nilayam, an action-packed film that has the heroine literally fighting the anti-social elements. Of course, she also does her glamour bit.

Vindhya says, 'Azhagu Nilayam is the name of the house in which I live. Some anti-social elements enter my house and give us few troubles. The rest is all about how I put an end to them'.

The movie has glamour besides power packed stunts performed by me, she says.

She has a role model in her career. ‘Taking Vijayashanthi as my role model, I learnt martial arts and used them in this movie'

Asked about rumors that she would venture into politics (another Vijayashanthi connection), the actress says, 'I still have a lot to achieve in filmdom. I don't want to comment about my tomorrow.'
