Vadivelu is a busy comedian acting in more than half-a-dozen movie simultaneously now.

Affectionately known as  Vaigaippuyal for his inimical style of Madurai diction, he has won the accolades of eminent film personalities from Malluwood.

Actors like Mammooty and Mohanlal, who had seen the movies of Vadivelu have heaped praises on the comedian for his spontaneous wit and humor on screen.

Sources close to the actor said, Vadivelu had declined few offers that came his way in Malayalam for he was not keen on acting in Malayalam films as his not familiar with the language. Only after better understanding of the language perhaps he would think about venturing to Malayalam.
