Vijay and Suryah were expected to come together for their next Puli in which Vijay was tipped to play a tough cop's role and buzz was that Asin would be playing the female lead role in the movie.

Now sources in Kollywood say, Suryah would not be venturing to direct the movie and rather director Perarasu's brother Muthuvadugu would be wielding the megaphone.

Though Suryah has reportedly narrated a story to Vijay, the latter was much impressed with the script narrated by Muthuvadugu that he decided to do his movie.

Puli would be produced by Appachan and would be directed by Muthuvadugu. As for Suryah, he would be acting in a couple of movies before commencing his next directorial venture starring Silambarasan titled A/C.
