Shaam pinned a lot of hopes on ABCD. Unfortunately the movie did not live up to his expectations and did not do well at the box office.

Shaam was naturally disappointed. ‘It was indeed a very good movie. But a few more emotive scenes involving me were chopped off at the last moment that changed the course of the story. Hence audience would not receive the movie well'.

On his forthcoming film Manadodu Mazhaikalam, Shaam says, 'it is a campus love-story. More than romance, we dwell on friendship in the movie. I am confident that this film would leave an impact on the audience.'

Shaam has decided to choose his forthcoming films with great caution. 'Only films which would have scope for me to perform would be accepted', he says.
