Debutant director Tharun Gopi, who is directing Thimir starring Vishal, says, 'The movie has so far shaped up well and it would be a milestone in Vishal's career.'

At a time when youngsters have to run from pillar to post to make an entry into filmdom, director Tharun Gopi had a easy entry.

He says, 'I casually narrated the story to Vishal. He was impressed and within a week we commenced the shooting'.

Asked what the movie is all about, he says, 'It is about arrogance. All the characters in the movie are arrogant and the troubles they face forms the crux'.

The entire movie happens in Madurai and shooting in the temple town was unimaginable without the support of the localities captured the images of Madurai in a interesting way'.

The movie stars Reema Sen opposite Vishal and a slimmed-down Kiran performs a item number in the movie.

The movie is being produced by Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna, who produced Sandai Kozhi before.
