Producer Kushboo is happy at the box –office response for her production venture Irandu.

An anxious Kushboo had made calls to theatres screening Irandu to know about the response from the audience.

Expressing her thanks to director Sundar C and actor Madhavan, Kushboo said, “The movie has opened well. The audiences are appreciative of the movie. I am thrilled.”

Irandu featuring Madhavan in dual roles has Reema Sen, Anushka and Vadivelu in lead roles. Music is by D Imman and direction by Sundar C.

The mix of comedy, glamour and a dollop of suspense have worked well. Sundar C’s ability for a gritty script that does not tax the audience seems to have worked.

Irandu is now being tipped as a hit.

Buzz is that Kushboo has started plans to commence her next production venture and it may star Silambarasan in the lead role.
