Celebrating the successes of Deepavali releases
IndiaGlitz [Monday, January 29, 2007]

Some of the movies released for Deepavali last year successfully completed the 100-day run. This, of course, calls for celebration.

The Jeeva starrer E, Ajith’s Varalaru, Silambarasan's Vallavan and Sarath Kumar's 100th film Thalaimagan completed a 100-day run across theatres in Tamil Nadu.

E deals about the drug mafia with Jeeva and Nayantara playing the lead roles and the film is directed by Jananathan. Vallavan directed by Silambarasan himself featured Nayantara, Sandhya and Reema Sen in the cast.

Ajith’s comeback film Varalaru directed by K S Ravikumar and Sarath's Thalaimagan too enjoyed their share of luck at the box office.

A movie running for 100 days is a rarity these days. Fortunately, a majority of the Deepavali releases have achieved this gargantuan task. Let's hope that these stars continue their good run this year too.
