While films per se belong to different genres namely Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime/Gangster, Drama, Epics/Historical, Horror, Musical, Science Fiction and the like, Tamil films generally tread on action, adventure, comedy, while there is no dearth of drama as well. This is especially because cinema is the most influential and popular medium which caters to the audiences of a particular milieu. This is why, films that tread on such genres are well-received.

But Oram Po, the film starring Arya and Pooja and directed by Pushkar and Gayatri, belongs to a different genre altogether. And an interesting one at that.
