Pyramid Saimira, who obtained the distribution rights of Mozhi made enough profits. The movie produced by Prakash Raj and directed by Radha Mohan featured Prithviraj, Jyothika, Swarnamalya and Prakash Raj in key roles.

The movie was a big hit. Emboldened by the success of Mozhi, Pyramid Saimira has gone ahead to buy the theatrical rights of another movie. This time they have zeroed in on Ammuvagiya Naan.

Directed by Padmamagan, the movie features Parthiban in the role of a writer and debutant Bharathi in the role of a prostitute. Sabesh Murali has scored the music for the movie.
