Abbas made a successful start to his career with Kadhal Desam. The movie was a commercial success and Abbas became chocolate-box hero.

However subsequent failures halted his progress. He soon settled down for character roles.

Now he is trying a different route to success. The cherubic actor with a huge female fan following is now playing a baddie.

Abbas has been cast in a negative role in a movie titled Sadhu Mirandal. The movie stars Prasanna and Kavya Madhavan play the lead roles. Interestingly the movie's Telugu version featured Abbas in the same role.

Keen to make his mark as villain is Abbas.
