Following the bee line of heroines who have shifted their area of operations to Tamil, it now seems to be the turn of directors. According to the latest reports, eight Malayalee directors are at present working on various projects for Kollywood. The number one director of Malayalam commercial cinema, Laljose has already announced his intentions to do a Tamil film, while Faazil and Siddhique who had delivered many a hits in Tamil earlier, has already started their works on new Tamil ventures. Siddhique's new Tamil film Sadhu Mirandal with Kavya and Prasanna is in the last phase of its completion, while Faazil will start his bilingual in a matter of a month

Priyadarshan has completed his new film Kancheepuram a historical movie which has Prakash Raj in the lead. Another Malayalam director Jayaraj is also making a new film with Navya and Vincent Ashok, in Tamil. The film titled Sila Neranagaalil has already completed its shoots and is on editing table.

The latest to add in the list is ace Malayalam director, Shaji Kailaas who is also planning to start a new film with new comers in Tamil. Other Malayalee directors who will start their projects in a short time are Vinayan and Sharvi.

The increased budgets and remuneration, availability of a number of crowd pulling heroes, new themes and locations seems to be the interest of Malayalam directors to prove themselves in Tamil. Moreover they will not be forced to limit their creativity in stringent budgets, as it is normally offered by the Malayalam industry.
